Barcelona defender Rafa Marquez is set to discuss his future with the club after the World Cup.
Marquez, who captained Mexico to victory over France in his side's second Group A game on Thursday, has been offered a new two-year contract at the Camp Nou.
The classy defender wants to sit down and hold talks with Barca coach Pep Guardiola before deciding whether or not to accept the deal on offer.
"I am not thinking about what can happen in the future," Marquez told Catalan station
COM Radio.
"I have to speak to Pep because it's true I played very little last year, but I'm relaxed."
Marquez is playing in midfield for Mexico at the World Cup and also occupied that position for Barcelona in the 2004-2005 season, when the Catalan club ended a six-year trophy drought by winning the Primera Division.
And with Ivory Coast midfielder Yaya Toure set to leave the club in the coming days, the former Monaco man could receive more playing time in the holding role.
"I am in a good physical condition, more comfortable, because now I have protection behind me and in front of me I have many more options to make passes," added Marquez.
"I am enjoying myself more because I am more active in that area, although it's a bigger effort.
"But it's where I am playing and I have to carry on as I have been."
