Espanyol have secured Didac Vila on a new contract to keep the highly-rated defender at the club until 2015.
Didac has progressed through the ranks at Espanyol since joining as a 10-year old and is regarded as one of their most impressive youngsters.
The 20-year-old made his first-team debut at the beginning of the year and has quickly become one of the mainstays of Mauricio Pochettino's team.
Didac's contract was set to expire in 2012, but the Spain Under 20 international has extended his stay by three years.
