The experienced shot-stopper has been informed that he no longer figures in the plans of Betis coach Antonio Tapia and is free to move on. The 33-year-old still has two years left to run on his contract in Spain, but is determined to secure a summer switch. He is believed to attracted interest from England and his agent admits he is working hard to find his client a new club. "Ricardo has a high profile across Europe and we hope to have positive news for him before the end of the transfer window." Clubs from Greece and Turkey are also believed to be in the hunt for Ricardo's services, although the player has ruled out a return to his native Portugal. He is keen to retain his place in his country's international plans ahead of the 2010 World Cup and is looking for a club that would present him with a challenge.
