Portuguese centre-half accepts trial offer

Jorge Andrade is hoping he can secure a move to Malaga after accepting a trial with the Andalucian outfit. The Spanish side are looking to bolster their squad ahead of the new season and have offered the Portuguese defender the opportunity to prove his fitness with them during pre-season training. After an enduring an injury-ravaged two years in Italy with Juventus, the 31-year-old became a free agent at the end of last season and has been looking for a new club ever since. Dismissing reports that he could have retired due to prolonged injury problems, Andrade insists he is ready to return to the highest level again. "If I could not play then I would not have come," he told AS. "But it is quite normal that a club would want to see me in action before deciding anything."
