Galliani urges Sevilla to drop asking price

AC Milan have insisted they will not increase their offer for Sevilla forward Luis Fabiano. The Brazilian's agent revealed earlier this week that his client had a release clause of €30million (£26m), with Milan so far falling well short. The Rossoneri have been told they will have to return with a considerably higher bid but a deal now appears unlikely. Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani feels the offer on the table is fair and is not prepared to negotiate unless Sevilla drop their asking price. He explained: "The deal is still ongoing. Sevilla will not lower their price and thus the deal is on standby." "If the price is not lowered then we will not go ahead with the move." Milan are understood to have offered €14million for Fabiano as they seek to bolster their attacking options.
