Serie A giants AC Milan have dropped their interest in signing Real Madrid striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
The Rossoneri confirmed on Monday they had tabled bids for Huntelaar and Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano.
However, AC have now confirmed the only player they are now negotiating for is Fabiano, as he is manager Leonardo's preferred target.
Vice-president Adriano Galliani has confirmed negotiations for the Brazilian are on-going and that they may need to go as far as matching the striker's €30million (£25.9m) release-clause in order to speak to the player.
"At this point there is only one negotiation standing, and that is Luis Fabiano," Galliani told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"Our coach prefers Luis Fabiano to Huntelaar.
"Several million euros separate us from him.
"The difference is still there and there's little to say with the exception that we need to reach an agreement on the transfer figure."
