Villarreal have announced that Turkey striker Nihat will ply his trade at Besiktas next season.
The 29-year-old attacker joined the Yellow Submarines from Real Sociedad in 2006.
After three years at Estadio El Madrigal, Nihat has now opted to return to his homeland.
A statement on Villarreal's official website read: "Villarreal, Besiktas and Nihat Kahveci have reached an agreement for the striker to play in the Turkish team from next season.
"The club want to thank the player for his commitment and dedication and wish him luck in this new stage of his footballing career."
