Sevilla striker Arouna Kone could return to first team action in three weeks.
The Ivory Coast international has been recovering from a knee injury which has kept him sidelined since September.
After a recent scan the 25-year-old now looks set to return within a matter of weeks following a troubled spell in the Primera Liga.
Keen to get back to full match fitness, Kone has expressed his delight in the news that his recuperation is back on track.
"I am desperate to get back in training and push for a start at Sevilla now and for the rest of the season," he said.
Sevilla Coach Manolo Jiminez has said Kone's return has come at a perfect time for the Spanish side as they reach a crucial stage in the league.
He said: "This is big news for the club because now we are entering into a crucial stage of the season.
"We need all of our players to be fit and able to play."
