Iker Casillas insists Real Madrid have enough strength in depth to compete in every competition this season.
Real have been surprisingly quiet in the transfer market after missing out on prime target Cristiano Ronaldo, although they did secure the services of Hamburg's Rafael van der Vaart.
Real have also been bolstered by the return of loanees Javi Garcia and Ruben da la Red and Casillas insists the squad are happy with their numbers and ability to compete on every front.
"We are capable of competing in every competition," said Casillas. "Any transfer decisions are the decisions of the club."
Real made a last-gasp bid for Valencia's David Villa, but Casillas insists his relationship has not been effected by the striker's decision to remain at the Mestalla.
"I called him to ask what had happened and he said he decided to remain at Valencia. Nothing changed between us because of it," he concluded.
