New Deportivo La Coruna signing Diego Colotto is eager to avoid comparisons with Fabricio Coloccini.
The centre-back recently moved to Municipal de Riazor after leaving Mexican side Atlas in a €2.5million (£2m) deal.
And having secured his transfer to Spain, Colotto does not expect to fill the boots of Coloccini, who joined Newcastle United in August.
"Since first arriving I have tried to show that I am different (to Coloccini)," 27-year-old Colotto told Spanish media.
"Fabricio is a player that is at a great level. I am at a stage where I am looking to develop and take advantage of this great opportunity.
"I want to write my own history and play a part in this football team.
"I have arrived at Depor with a lot of expectation and I will try to adapt to the squad as quickly as possible."
