Albert Luque has completed a move to Malaga following his exit from Ajax.
The Spanish forward joined Ajax from Newcastle during last summer's transfer window but only scored four goals in 16 appearances last term.
Luque was recently told by new Ajax boss Marco van Basten that he could not be guaranteed regular football, and Malaga have now moved quickly to bring him in.
The 29-year-old enjoyed a loan spell with Malaga earlier in his career and will now be hoping to rediscover his best form after a number of injury-plagued campaigns.
George Ogararu, meanwhile, has left Ajax on loan to link up with Steaua Bucharest.
The Romanian spent six years with Steaua as a youngster and will stay with the club for the whole of the current campaign.
