Keeper facing eight months out

Getafe keeper Oscar Ustari looks set to miss most of the upcoming season after suffering a knee injury. The Argentinean suffered the blow while representing his country at the Beijing Olympics. The 22-year-old was stretchered off the field 71 minutes into Argentina's 2-1 quarter-final success over Holland. He was hoping to challenge countryman Roberto Abbondanzieri for the No. 1 jersey at Getafe this season, but will now be forced to settle for a spectator role. The Madrid-based club's president Angel Torres told Marca on Sunday that he expects Ustari to be out of action for around eight months. The new Primera Liga season is due to get underway on 30th August, with Getafe's opening fixture away at newly-promoted Sporting Gijon.
