Shojaei seals Spanish move

Masoud Shojaei has expressed his delight at joining Spanish club Osasuna. The Iran international was unveiled to the club's supporters and the media in Tajonar shortly after putting pen to paper on a three-year deal. He found the prospect of playing in one of the best leagues in the world too appealing and could not wait to show his abilities. "I am very excited about playing for Osasuna," the 24 year-old told the press. "La Liga is one of the world's top football leagues and I am ready for the challenge." The former Al-Sharjah midfielder will join compatriot Javad Nekounam at the Reyno de Navarra Stadium, whom he believes will help him settle at the club. "Neko has helped raise the club's profile in Iran over the last few years," he added. "He spoke highly of the club, the players and also the fans. His presence will be of great help to me." Osasuna sporting director Juan Jose Lorenzo confirmed the club had been keeping tabs on the player over the last two years.
