Milan have confirmed that Barcelona forward Samuel Eto'o is one of their top targets for the summer.
The Cameroon international has been at Camp Nou for four years but Barca now appear to be ready to part with him after a quiet season.
The likes of Chelsea, Tottenham and Internazionale have all been linked with Eto'o, but Milan are hoping to win the race for his signature.
"Milan hopes to strengthen its attacking line-up and Samuel Eto'o is among the players who are priorities for us," said director Umberto Gandini at a meeting of the European Club Association in Barcelona.
Gandini added that he had not yet received any instructions from Milan president Silvio Berlusconi to start negotiations with Barcelona.
He also insisted that Milan were not interested in Barcelona's Ronaldinho, saying the former two-time World Footballer of the Year 'is not on the list' of players the club is seeking.
