Ezequiel Garay says he will have no qualms in returning to Racing on loan after joining Real Madrid.

Defender delighted to have been signed by champions

Ezequiel Garay says he will have no qualms in returning to Racing Santander on loan after signing for Real Madrid. Spanish champions Real have confirmed a deal has been agreed for Garay to move to the Bernabeu in the summer. The Argentine defender was also linked with a switch to Barcelona, but is happy to have agreed a deal with Bernd Schuster's Real. Reports suggest he could spend next season back at Racing and Garay admits he would be prepared to return to Santander.

Dream come true

"I am the happiest man in the world," Garay told Marca. "Signing for such a big club is a dream come true for every hard-working player. "I will be delighted to stay at Racing for one more year and I will proudly defend their shirt in Europe. "The final stretch in our season was sensational, but I missed it due to an injury. "We qualified for the Uefa Cup and I signed for Real Madrid. It makes it even better if Racing have benefited from my signing. "I hope to be able to pay the club back for the faith it has in me. This is the most important step I have taken in my career."
