Rossoneri chief hopeful of Barca deal

Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi is confident the club will sign Barcelona star Ronaldinho in the summer. Ronaldinho has been strongly linked with a summer switch to San Siro as doubts over his future at Camp Nou continue to circulate. The Brazilian's agent and brother, Roberto De Assis, claims Milan are favourites for Ronaldinho's signature and after holding talks, Berlusconi is optimistic the playmaker will make the move to the Rossoneri.

Confident

Berlusconi told Radio Monte Carlo: "Will Ronaldinho arrive? For the time being, his brother has arrived. "At dinner, he (De Assis) brought me Ronaldinho's shirt with a very affectionate message written on it." Asked if he expected the player to sign, Berlusconi added: "Very high hopes, absolutely."
Welcome
Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf has welcomed his side's move for Ronaldinho, saying he would be happy to play alongside the former Paris Saint Germain ace. "I will be happy if he comes to Milan because he is another great champion," said Seedorf. "I would welcome him. His arrival would give us all a boost."
