Sevilla's former Tottenham striker Fredi Kanoute is facing up to a month out of action after being injured on World Cup duty.
Kanoute suffered a ruptured leg muscle in Mali's game against Chad last weekend.
His absence adds to an already lengthy injury list for the La Liga side which will leave coach Manolo Jimenez without any senior strikers for Sunday's game against Almeria and their Uefa Cup tie against Stuttgart next week.
Sevilla are currently third in La Liga thanks to an unbeaten six-match start.
