Baup: Moving on

Sky Bet

Elie Baup has stepped down as manager of Nantes after seeing the club relegated from Ligue 1.

Baup, the most experienced manager in the French top flight, spent less than a year in the post.

He still had 12 months left to run on his contract with the Canaries, but has mutually agreed to move on.

"FC Nantes and Elie Baup have decided to go their separate ways," a statement from the club read.

Nantes, who tasted championship glory in 2001, finished second from bottom last season, taking just nine wins from their 38 fixtures.
