AZ Alkmaar coach Louis van Gaal is setting his stall out to bring a couple of new players to the club in January.
Van Gaal is determined to mount a title challenge in the Eredivisie and has been looking at a number of players in January.
Georgian midfielder Levan Zkitishvili has failed to win a deal following a trial, but Van Gaal is still keen on signing a keeper and left winger.
"I want a goalkeeper and a left winger before January 31st," Van Gaal told the club's website. "A goalkeeper is a necessity and the best thing would be a talented youngster, but he has to be ready to play immediately both in the Eredivisie and Europe."
Nantes winger Nourdin Boukhari has been linked with a move to Alkmaar and his name does appear on Van Gaal's list of targets.
"I find him a good footballer and I am looking at him," noted Van Gaal.
AZ have lowered the asking price of Martijn Meerdink to é¼600,000 (£393,000), after their initial demand for é¼1million (£650,000) failed to tempt interested parties.
