Gimnastic de Tarragona have concluded the loan signing of Nantes defender Julio Caceres.
The Paraguayan international, who played in all three of his country's games at the World Cup, has joined the newly-promoted Spanish outfit on a season-long loan deal, although they will have the option to make it permanent at the end of the campaign.
The 26-year-old, who spent time on loan at River Plate last term, revealed he decided to make the move to Spain after Nantes' less than overwhelming attempts to keep him.
"I don't really know what the president at Nantes wanted," he explained. "Therefore, I took the decision to play for Nastic.
"During pre-season I was with Nantes for ten days and then I went back home to Paraguay and trained on my own.
"Now I am in a very welcoming city and I will give everything for the club as this is the most important league in the world."
