Nantes' long-serving midfielder Frederic Da Rocha has had his wish granted after being handed a new one-year contract.
The 31-year-old's current deal is set to end this summer and it looked as though Da Rocha, who has spent 11 years in the first team, would be forced to leave.
However the Nantes board have made a complete U-turn and have now made Da Rocha the offer he craved.
The midfield ace arrived at the club way back in 1989 as a youngster and has been a vital cog in the Nantes midfield ever since, making an impressive 319 appearances.
Da Rocha was not shy in showing his frustration against Les Canaris' board.
"I have given my all for the club, If they don't want to talk to my agent then they can call me directly, I'm not Zidane but I deserve something."
However, after his new contract offer, Da Rocha is now happy and only has the future on his mind.
"I will now do everything I possibly can to help the club have a good season."
