Nantes have continued the overhaul of their squad with the capture of Nourdin Boukhari from Ajax.
The 25-year-old had been offered a contract extension at Ajax but, after being limited to a bit-part role for a large portion of last term, he has opted to leave on a Bosman free transfer.
Nantes had a disappointing time in Ligue 1 last season and have added Boukhari to their squad in the hope he can fire in the goals on a regular basis.
Boukhari has been handed a four-year deal and will link up with his new Nantes team-mates for pre-season training in July.
The news comes as a blow to Ajax, as Boukhari had forced his way back into the team towards the end of the campaign and impressed a number of senior figures in Amsterdam.
