Nantes have resolved the future of Argentinian defender Mauro Cetto.
Nantes have resolved the future of Mauro Cetto by tying the Argentinian to a new three-year contract.
The defender's deal was due to expire at the end of the season and Nantes had been locked in negotiations for several weeks.
A denouement has now been reached, with Cetto signing a contract which will keep him at Nantes until 2009.
Cetto has established himself as a key figure with Les Canaris since joining the club from Rosario Central midway through the 2001/02 season.
With Cetto's future now taken care of, Nantes will turn their attention to bringing in reinforcements for next season.
Galatasaray's Alioum Saidou remains a target for Nantes and discussions could well advance over the coming weeks.
Monaco full back Eric Cubilier has also emerged as a summer option for Les Canaris, with the player out of favour at Stade Louis II.
