Nantes have lined up Julio Cesar Caceres as a possible replacement for Maro Yepes.
Yepes has left for Paris Saint Germain and Les Canaris are keen to swiftly fill the void created by the Colombian's departure.
Nantes have agreed a deal for Paraguayan Caceres and he is set to undergo a medical on Thursday.
The Olimpia Asuncion ace is expected to sign a four-year deal at Nantes on completion of a successful medical.
Meanwhile, Nantes striker Marama Vahirua is expected to join Nice.
Vahirua has snubbed overtures from Sochaux to sign for Nice where he is expected to pen a three-year deal.
Nantes have already earmarked Estudiantes' forward Ernesto Farias as a replacement for Vahirua.
