NANTES CRUSH PSV

FRENCH champions Nantes produced a first-half demolition of PSV Eindhoven as they ran out easy 4-1 winners at Le Beaujoire.

Pierre-Yves Andre gave The Canaris the lead after five minutes and Oliver Quint doubled the advantage in the 10th minute. Wilfried Dalmat completed the first half rout netting on 44 minutes.

Marama Vahirua continued the goal rush after the interval striking in the 75th minute as Nantes ran out convincing winners, despite a 90th minute effort from John de Jong.

Galatasary triumphed 1-0 over Lazio in a tight game in Istanbul.

Karan Umit scored the decisive goal in the 79th minute and completed a miserable night for Rome-based clubs.

Jaap Stam was making his European debut for the Serie A side but his side came away without the points and he received a booking after 22 minutes.
