Ouadah plays down Nantes row

Abdelnasser Ouadah has spoken of the bust-up between Sedan and Nantes players.

Abdelnasser Ouadah has played down rumours of a bust-up between Sedan and Nantes players.

The two sides met in the French Cup on Tuesday as Nantes booked their place in the semi-finals with a penalty shoot-out victory.

Sedan midfielder Ouadah reportedly confronted some of the Nantes players in the dressing room after the game and he admits there were some heated exchanges.

But Ouadah insists he did not see any real trouble and that he bears no grudge towards Nantes defender Mauro Cetto.

He explained: "It wasn't a rotten match. There were just some scuffles, like can happen sometimes.

"During the match I had an argument with (Kevin) Das Neves, Mauro Cetto came to help him to get up and insulted me in Spanish.

"After the match, we wanted to remind him what happened, and the situation exploded.

"I had an argument with (Julio) Rossi, but it was only words, no more.

"I wanted to see Cetto and to explain to him that he couldn't pronounce some words, that is all. I had no intention to fight against him.

"I was in the car park when there was an altercation between Aliou Cisse and Mamadou Diallo.

"You get those kind of insults from the UEFA Champions League to the lowest division, but I had never experienced it. I don't want to be treated like somebody I am not.

"I did a radio show with Mauro Cetto on Wednesday and it was alright, even if we won't spend our holidays together."
