One of Steve McClaren's former stars doubts as to whether he can achieve anything with England.
Speaking exclusively to skysports.com, Joseph Desire Job doubts whether McClaren has what it takes to be a success with The Three Lions.
Job was part of the McClaren side that lifted the Carling Cup in 2004, but he does have his doubts about his ex-boss.
"I don't know if (Steve) McClaren is the best choice to lead England," he told skysports.com.
"He has had a big experience as an assistant for both Manchester United and the national team.
"They wanted an English coach, and I am sure nobody knows the players as well as him.
"He changed the image of Boro, qualifying us for Europe, reaching the final of the Uefa Cup and we won the Carling Cup together in 2003, a great prize.
"I can say he has had a real impact on Boro, but I don't know if he has the good profile to succeed with England."
