Troyes striker Georges Ba has confirmed that he is to leave the club as he eyes a move to England.

Following Troyes' relegation Ba has decided that his future lies elsewhere and, out of contract, a move to England is top of his agenda.

Upon taking over at Troyes coach Denis Troch agreed that it would be better for Ba to move on, with the player ready to join a club within the top two tiers of English football.

"The new coach made me understand that he didn't count on me, that he was more interested in the players under contract," Ba told But. "I am not part of his plans.

"My agent is working for me, he calls me every day. My priority is to play in England and he has contacts to start training periods in July.

"I am free so it is easier to discuss. I want the best for me and don't want to play for a French Ligue 2 team.

"In England I could impose myself physically and I love the fans. England is another life and I want to experience it, even in Division One.

"At Troyes I lost two years of my career, but that is not grave, I have learnt a lot. I feel stronger."
