Jean-Louis Montero has been suspended by Troyes after complaining about coach Jean-Marc Furlan.

The veteran full-back publicly criticised Furlan earlier this week, saying his 'honour and reliability had been questioned' by the coach.

Montero has lost his place in the Troyes side this season but club officials insist his comments are totally out of order and have removed him from training.

The officials will meet with Montero in early April as they decide on whether to take further action.

"After the meeting on 2nd April and the explanations Jean-Louis Montero will give, the club will make a decision on possible sanctions," read a statement from the club.

"We considered his words, notably in the media, and were left with no option but to suspend him in order to keep the whole group focused on one aim: remaining in Ligue 1."
