NANTES midfielder Wilfried Dalmat has moved to Division Two side Chateauroux on loan.

The 20-year-old has been allowed to leave The Canaries and has dropped down a division where he will play on loan until the end of the season.

Despite making 16 appearances so far this season, Nantes boss Angel Marcos believes he can do without him for the rest of the campaign.

The brother of Internazionale's Stephane has previously been on loan at Marseille but did not impress enough at Stade Velodrome.

Chateauroux are sixth in Division Two just three points off the promotion places and coach Thierry Froger is looking for some extra quality to help in their promotion push.

It is not yet known whether Dalmat could make the move permanent should Chateauroux gain promotion, or whether Nantes want him to return to the fold in the summer.

Two more men who have made the step down are Ajaccio's Xavier Becas and Troyes' Mamadou Niang, who have both joined Metz on loan until the end of the season.
