Veteran midfielder Fabrice Abriel is determined to find a new club after Nice decided against extending his contract.
The 34-year-old former Paris Saint-Germain and Marseille player joined Nice in 2011 and made 94 appearances in all competitions for Les Aiglons, but will no longer ply his trade at the Allianz Riviera.
Abriel on Tuesday thanked Nice fans for their loyal support in a statement published on the club's official website, saying: "I must thank them for always pushing me to be the best.
"Even when we have disappointed them, they stay right behind us.
"I am going to keep living out my passion by continuing to play for as long as possible. My future plans do not involve quitting playing, as I have the good condition and desire to continue.
"I want OGC Nice to keep improving and start mingling at the top of the table. They are a club to which I will remain very much attached."
Nice narrowly avoided relegation from Ligue 1 in the 2013-14 season as they finished only one place and two points above the drop zone.
