Nice midfielder Didier Digard has revealed he is looking to secure a move away from the club in the summer.
The 27-year-old Frenchman admitted that after meeting with club officials, he decided against signing a new deal with Les Aiglons, and will look to ply his trade elsewhere.
Digard has been linked with a move to Ligue 1 giants Lyon, but insisted he would have loved to stay where he is, if the right deal was on offer.
"Unfortunately we should break up," Digard told L'Equipe.
"I have been asked to reduce my wages, so I can only wish the club find a better player than me.
"The club believe I wanted to leave, but that is not the case.
"I am a bit surprised and hurt. I would have preferred to be told I had to leave."
