Ligue 1 new boys Troyes have signed Georges Ba and Florian Boucansaud from Nice.

Ivory Coast striker Ba has joined Troyes on a permanent basis after failing to clinch a deal in England with Leeds United.

Ba trained with Leeds earlier in pre-season but was unable to convince Kevin Blackwell he merited a contract.

He has now signed a two-year deal, with the option of a further 12 months, after Troyes paid Nice an undisclosed sum for his services.

Boucansaud has joined Troyes on loan for the season just a month after Nice signed the defender from Gueugnon.

Nice coach Frederic Antonetti has deemed Boucansaud not to be in his plans and has shipped the stopper out to Troyes.
