Nice's experienced midfielder Olivier Echouafni will be sidelined for a month with a knee injury.
Echouafni has been struggling with the problem for several weeks and will undergo an operation in the coming days.
The 32-year-old will hope the minor surgery will be sufficient to remedy the injury which has hampered his campaign.
He has started seven of Nice's nine games in Ligue 1 this term and will aim to bounce straight back from the injury.
With a four-week absence predicted, Nice will hope they can cope without the services of Echouafni during his rehabilitation.
