Rennes midfielder Tongo Doumbia has revealed his disappointment after the collapse of his proposed move to West Brom.
Initial reports suggested the deal broke down because Doumbia would not agree personal terms with the Baggies.
But the Mali international has suggested he was more disappointed than anyone that the transfer will not go through.
"I wanted to play in the Premier League and I still want that but do not know if it can ever happen," Doumbia told Sky Sports.
"I am 22 years old and everything is possible.
"I am disappointed it did not happen because we could not agree things but I am doing my best to be a top player in a top league."
