Sky Sports understands Sheffield Wednesday could face competition to sign Abdelrafik Gerard and Arnaud Honore following the duo's trial with the Championship club.
The Paris St Germain youngsters have been training with the Owls, with midfielder Honore featuring in a couple of pre-season friendlies.
Former France Under 18 international Honore scored in a 2-2 draw against Frickley and also played for a Wednesday XI in a 3-3 draw with Harrogate Town.
Both players are understood to have rejected new contracts at PSG in order to secure regular first-team football elsewhere.
A further four Championship clubs are reported to be interested in the 20-year-olds, while a Premier League team are willing to take them on trial.
