Lille captain Rio Mavuba has revealed that he will either sign a new long-term contract at the club or leave this summer.
The France international has been with Lille since 2008 and has played over 200 games for Les Dogues.
He is currently sidelined with a knee injury, but he is thinking about his future.
The 29-year-old has two years left on his current deal and intends to make a decision on his future in the coming weeks.
He told l'Equipe: "Either I commit myself for the long-term, or I say 'bye-bye'.
"I have had talks with the officials and they have told me they want to keep the same group together."
Mavuba appears to be sending out a message that he wants new signings brining in.
"It is impossible to make a whole season with only young players, even if they are good," he added.
Like Mavuba, another player linked with a move away is young full-back Lucas Digne, but the France youth international says he is happy to stay.
"I don't know anything about any rumours, I am very happy at Lille and know I will stay next season," he said.
Manchester City had reportedly been looking at the 19-year-old.
