Paris St Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti has praised his team for putting together a run of results which has lifted them to the top of the Ligue 1 table.
PSG have lost just once in their last nine league matches, extending that yesterday with a 1-0 defeat of Lille.
It was a far from polished performance by the club, who needed an own goal from defender Aurelien Chedjou to seal the win.
However, Ancelotti believes the points are far more important than how they played as they chase their first league title since the 1993/94 season.
"It was very difficult but this victory is very important," the Italian told the club's official website.
"Lille had a good game. For our part, we made a very good start but then it became more difficult to find space.
"The match was balanced but winning was the most important thing.
"We have now won nine of our last 10 matches in all competitions, and I can say 'hats off' to the team.
"We are strong. We must look at creating more speed and being more aggressive, but we are doing well defensively."
