Paris St Germain winger Nene says it would be a 'great honour' to play alongside Neymar at Santos as he prepares to leave the French club in January.

The Brazilian confirmed earlier this week he is confident of reaching an agreement with PSG which will allow him to depart the Ligue 1 side in the upcoming transfer window.

The 31-year-old has been dropped from PSG's last three games following a row with club officials during the UEFA Champions League victory over Porto.

Several clubs are thought to be keeping tabs on Nene, with AC Milan and Galatasaray believed to be keen.

The winger has also been linked with a return to his native Brazil, with Santos reportedly interested in re-signing the player after he spent the 2002-03 season there.

Nene is yet to decide whether he will stay in Europe or return to his homeland but he is keen on the idea of playing alongside young star Neymar.

He told L'Equipe: "Nothing has been done but my desire is for a change - leaving for good.

"I don't know if I will go to Brazil or remain in Europe. I will talk with my family to make a decision about my future."

Of Neymar he added: "It would be great honour to play with him."
