Ancelotti keen on Kaka

PSG coach would welcome Brazilian, but says strikers are priority

Carlo Ancelotti would be delighted to work with Kaka again at Paris St Germain, but admits a striker will be his top priority in the summer. PSG were surprisingly quiet during the winter transfer window, with moves for David Beckham, Carlos Tevez and Alexandre Pato having broken down. They are, however, expected to dip back into the market during pre-season, with the club's Qatari owners prepared to dig deep in the pursuit of top talent. Real Madrid playmaker Kaka is among those reported to be on Ancelotti's wish list, with the Italian having worked with the Brazilian during their time together at AC Milan. Ancelotti admits a move for Kaka is an option, with it possible that Real could be tempted to cash in on a player who has struggled to produce his best in Spain. "Kaka? I am in contact with him," Ancelotti told Gazzetta dello Sport.

Role

"If Real Madrid want to sell him, we will try to sign him. "There is always room for him, but it's not a priority because we already have (Jeremy) Menez and (Javier) Pastore in the same role." While he would be willing to bring in Kaka over the summer, Ancelotti admits he will first attempt to bolster his strike force. Pato remains an option for PSG, but they have spread their net further afield and could make a move for one of South America's hottest prospects. "In June, the priority will be a striker, but not necessarily Pato," said Ancelotti. "We are also following (Internacional's, Leandro) Damiao."
