Drame targets English switch

Senegal international Boukary Drame has set his sights on winning a move to England.

Senegal international Boukary Drame has set his sights on winning a move to England.

The 21-year-old left-back, who has dual French nationality, established himself at Paris Saint-Germain last term, but is now looking to earn the opportunity to test himself in the Premier League.

Drame, who has been at Parc des Princes for three years, forced his way into PSG's first-team towards the end of last term and helped the struggling Ligue 1 outfit pull clear of trouble at the wrong end of the table.

He also featured in the club's run to the last 16 of the UEFA Cup, but the pacy full-back - who has one international cap to his name - is now seeking a new challenge with England his preferred destination.

"Boukary did very well at PSG last year, but wants to test himself at the highest level possible and believes the Premier League is the place to be," Drame's agent Saif Rubie told skysports.com.

"He has fantastic potential and his game is ideally suited to the demands of the Premier League.

"Along with Eric Abidal at Lyon he was regarded as the form left back in the second half of last season in France and he would now relish the opportunity to demonstrate his ability in England."

While reluctant to part company with Drame, it is understood an offer of ?1.5 million (£1 million) would be sufficient to prise the youngster from PSG.
