Mario Yepes is ready to defy the diagnosis presented before him by Paris Saint Germain doctors, in returning to action before the close of the season.
The Colombian defender was expected to miss the remainder of the campaign having broken his leg back in February against Marseille.
Yepes, though, is making good progress in his rehabilitation and although reticent to set a date for his possible return, it is thought PSG's game with Lyon on 5th May has been earmarked.
"The aim is to play again before the end of Le Championnat," said the 31-year-old.
"I have to be back to full fitness, and I take care so far, following the doctor's advice.
"But I want to participate towards the end of the season.
"I don't set any date for my comeback, I just want to play again in competition.
"On Tuesday, it was a little special because for the first time I participated in a little training match.
"I am just very happy to be back working with the group."
