Cohen returns as chairman

Nice have decided to reinstate Maurice Cohen as chairman of the club.

Nice have decided to reinstate Maurice Cohen as chairman of the club after having axed him only last week.

Franck Guidicelli, the shareholder who had been named as the new chairman, will now assist Cohen with all sporting aspects.

An announcement on the club's website read: "The board of directors have decided to trust Maurice Cohen for the management of the club's global policy.

"He will be helped by Franck Guidicelli, who will be in charge of the sporting side of things."

In addition, Sammy Traore looks set to rejoin Nice from Paris Saint Germain after the defender failed to make an impression in the capital.

The central defender left Nice last summer and signed a contract with PSG until 2009.

However, the player has not impressed at the Parc des Princes and manager Paul Le Guen is keen to part with him.
