Paris Saint Germain striker Pierre-Alain Frau has issued an apology to Sedan playmaker Stephane Noro, following his red card at the weekend.
Frau was sent off for the first time in his career for a rash challenge that landed on the knee of Noro, who was forced off as a result.
Noro is now all set for examinations on the injured region, with club medics fearing ligament damage.
Frau insists there was no intent in his challenge to harm Noro, eager to offer his best wishes for his counterpart's recovery.
"I didn't do it intentionally," said Frau.
"I lost the ball, and I wanted to get it back straight away, but I am late.
"Running up I could not stop and I felt I touched his knee. I saw the images and indeed, it is impressive. I am disappointed for Noro.
"The most important thing today is he will be able to play again as soon as possible."
