It is as you were at the top of the Ligue 1 table on Sunday night after leading duo Montpellier and Bordeaux drew one apiece.
Alberto Costa grabbed an injury-time equaliser for Montpellier in a 1-1 draw which also featured two missed penalties and a red card.
Despite the late setback, the draw still suits Les Girondins, who have two games in hand on Montpellier, with both sides having claimed 52 points.
The drama started after 33 minutes when Costa missed from the spot after Michael Ciani had fouled Victor Hugo Montano inside the area, an offence which led to Ciani seeing red.
Montano took Montpellier's second penalty four minutes before the interval but his twice-taken effort was saved by home keeper Cedric Carrasso.
Marouane Chamakh put Laurent Blanc's side ahead after 59 minutes but the 10 men could not hold on and Costa crashed home a 94th-minute free-kick to restore parity.
A win would have moved Marseille level with the top two, but the 1-1 draw with Lorient leaves them just adrift of the leaders.
All appeared to be going to plan when Mamadou Niang put l'OM ahead after 42 minutes.
But Lorient, who spent long periods on the back foot, grabbed a surprise equaliser through Laurent Koscielny 19 minutes into the second half.
And they could have snatched all three points had Kevin Gameiro not squandered a wonderful opportunity in the final minute.
At the foot of the table Grenoble played out a frustrating stalemate with fellow relegation strugglers Le Mans in a match that failed to live up to expectations.
Both sides had high hopes of winning this fixture and bottom side Grenoble looked all set to make it three victories in five games when they went ahead through Nassim Akrour inside two minutes.
Grenoble looked good value for their lead as the half wore on but Le Mans battled back after the interval and levelled through Modibo Maiga after 50 minutes.
