LE MANS are planning a swoop for Nantes defender Pascal Delhommeau to fill the void created by Dan Eggen's injury.
Veteran Norwegian stopper Eggen (pictured) is out for around a month after suffering a stress fracture in his foot.
His absence leaves Le Mans devoid of cover and they are keen to bring in a reinforcement, with Delhommeau top of the list.
Though the transfer window has closed, French clubs can use a joker to sign a player and Le Mans are expected to take advantage of this option.
Delhommeau is under contract to Nantes until next June but a deal could be in the offing if the two clubs can thrash out an agreement.
The 25-year-old has not figured since Loic Amisse took over as coach and may relish the chance of a switch to the Ligue 1 newcomers.
