Ligue 2 champions Nancy are hoping to bring Brazilian striker Sonny Anderson back to France.

Anderson gave sterling service to Monaco, Marseille and Lyon earlier in his career and could be offered the chance to return to Le Championnat.

The 34-year-old is currently playing in Qatar for Al-Rayyan after leaving Spanish side Villarreal last September.

But Nancy coach Pablo Correa has revealed he has been in talks to try to tempt Anderson into helping his team's fight for Ligue 1 survival next term.

"He did not close the door on it because the project could interest him," said Correa.

"We are seeking players who are able to make the difference."

Correa has already added to his squad for next term by bringing in Senegal defender Abdoulaye Keita on a two-year contract from Iraklis.

Nancy are also considering signing Johan Radet, with the full back due to leave Auxerre over the summer.
