Reports in France are suggesting Monaco will attempt to prise Claude Puel away from Lille in the summer.
The Principality club's top brass are rumoured to be unhappy with current coach Francesco Guidolin and Puel is set to meet with Prince Albert II early next month.
Puel is enjoying a fine spell at Lille and has a further season to run on his contract, but Monaco hold him in high regard and the signs are suggesting they will endeavour to persuade him to move on.
Meanwhile, Marc Keller, who moved on from Strasbourg recently, is expected to be confirmed as Monaco's new general manager this week.
In other news, Monaco are sweating over the fitness of Christian Vieri and Gael Givet after the pair picked up knocks against Paris Saint Germain.
Givet limped off with a groin complaint, while Vieri picked up a knee injury.
The injuries will come as a blow to Guidolin who was robbed of reserve keeper Guillaume Warmuz last week. Warmuz damaged his knee in training and will not play again this season.
