Monaco defender Sebastien Squillaci faces a month on the sidelines after sustaining a thigh strain in ASM's 1-0 win over Dijon on Wednesday.

The 25-year-old French international has struggled with injury this term and the latest setback was confirmed by Monaco doctor Philippe Kuentz.

"We will make additional examinations on Thursday. But he will be unavailable for between three and six weeks," explained Kuentz.

Young striker David Gigliotti also had to leave the pitch before the final whistle clutching his thigh.

The French Under-21 international's injury is not as serious as Squillaci's, however, and he should return to action within ten days.
