NUNO GOMES has confessed once more that he is desperate to leave Fiorentina, and confirmed that he is still waiting for a concrete offer from suitors Monaco.
The Principality side have tracked the Portuguese star assiduously since the arrival of new coach Didier Deschamps - and the Euro 2000 star is still keen on a move.
"Everything can happen," said Gomes. "There have been a lot of rumours about my transfer to Monaco but there's nothing in concrete.
"It could be Monaco or any other team. Of course the French championship is very competitive and has great teams and players and, on a personal level, it would be good for me to leave Fiorentina.
"But for the moment we'll have to wait and see. Almost every championship has just begun and anyway, my departure from Fiorentina doesn't only depend on me."
One thing that may have stopped Monaco submitting a bid, is the arrival at the club of German international Oliver Bierhoff from Milan.
Fiorentina are desperate to raise money and stave off bankruptcy, and the sale of Gomes, along with Enrico Chiesa and Tomas Repka, would go some way to ensuring the club's future.
